Golden Rule: Teach children to be connected and engaged.

Help children realize that they are a part of the family and that their contribution is important and valued.

Ask your children to get creative with you and invite them to share how they would solve problems. Find ways to make it interesting for them to help other family members. Start doing social activities together, they can be very simple – no need to be expensive.

Have a look at the weekly activities of each family member. Maybe you want to incorporate a weekly family activity. Be very selective about everyone’s commitments if time together as a family is difficult to create.

Try this: Ask yourself the following question in regards to your activities: Is this beneficial for my own health and growth? If the answer is no, then choose to do/act differently; and this is of course the same for your children.
